New revelations about harassment in the workplace seem to come out with each news cycle. They have been accompanied by the realization that this inappropriate behavior is widespread and has been tolerated for many, many decades. It is as if by denying it, not speaking about it, and not dealing with it, some of us have wanted to believe that it was not occurring; that it was the “new normal.” Based on the prevalence of the behavior, it is probably not a matter of “if,” but “when” every owner, board member, C-Suite executive, and leader will be facing this issue.
Despite the prevalence of harassment in the workplace, most executives have never dealt with it and do not know where to start or how to navigate its legal, insurance, human resources, and psychological aspects. Private Directors Association has assembled a panel of experts to discuss and help you be better prepared to prevent and address harassment. Attendees will leave the program with a checklist of questions to ask and things to do when they return to the office that has been developed by the panelists.
