Deby Glidden
Managing Partner
Core Point Partners, LLC

With more than 35 years in business, Deby is currently Managing Partner of Core Point Partners with offices in Atlanta and Charlotte, NC.  She has had experience in diverse industries throughout the US, primarily with family owned manufacturers and mid-market companies owned by private equity groups.  Many were highly leveraged transactions, requiring keen analysis of the dynamic building blocks underlying the cash flow. She was both an investor in and on the Advisory Board of a distressed equity fund.  In the past two decades she and her two business partners in Core Point have helped turn around distressed companies, in addition to capital raising, Mergers & Acquisitions and Refinancings.  She has worked with owners, investors and lenders to develop and execute strategies of improving performance and profitability, including operational changes and lender negotiations.  Her projects include due diligence, financings, plant consolidation, integration of acquired companies, and improvement in operational controls.

Her strategic planning and turnaround experience include non-profits where she helped (pro bono) turnaround a health-based charity which had lost half of its funding, necessitating staff layoffs, renegotiating leases, and raising additional funding.  She was President for two years as she led the turnaround, and has been on its Board for 19 years.

Deby is a Founding Member and on the Leadership Team for PDA Atlanta. At her alma mater, Wheaton College (Massachusetts), Deby served on the Board of Trustees since 2000 and was Vice Chair for 8 years. As chair of the Audit Committee, she helped resolve a Whistleblower crisis. She also chaired Development, was Co-Chair of a $120 million fund raising, and was on the Finance and Facilities and Presidential Search Committees.  In her spare time Deby helped save a 1838 Lighthouse on the Georgia coast, and is integrally involved with her extended family of 35 “kids” plus their parents, aunts and uncles.
