Fund participation as a buyer in virtually all industries is at unprecedented levels with plenty of liquidity still available.  We will dive into the similarities and difference in a sales process to these various buyers and identify the focus areas and potential risks, opportunities, stakeholders and valuation processes that may be involved.





Jack DiFranco
Managing Director 
BeaconView Capital

Jack DiFranco is the founder and Managing Director of BeaconView Advisors, LLC and BeaconView Capital.  With over 26 years of M&A and transaction experience, Jack has assisted clients with acquisitions, divestitures, recapitalizations, and management buyouts.  He has also served as financial advisor on financing transactions for senior debt, subordinated debt, and private equity.  Throughout his career, Jack has served privately held business owners, publicly traded companies, and private equity firms.  He has advised on transactions in a wide range of industries including automotive, building products, industrial equipment, food processing, IT services, health care, business services, software, distribution, television & radio, education, insurance, and retail.

Prior to founding BeaconView, Jack led the Detroit practice for KPMG Corporate Finance LLC.  He also served as the National Managing Principal for the Corporate Finance, Transaction Advisory, and Private Equity Services Groups at Grant Thornton LLP.  Preceding his experience at Grant Thornton, Jack founded and was the Managing Director of the Investment Banking Group at Stout Risius Ross, Inc.  Earlier in his career, Jack was a member of the Investment Banking Groups at First of Michigan Corporation and Ernst & Young Corporate Finance.

Jack holds an M.B.A. degree (finance and corporate strategy) from the University of Michigan and a B.S. degree in finance from Oakland University. Jack is a registered representative of StillPoint Capital, holding his Series 7, 63, 24, 79, and 82 registrations.


Robert Gruschow
Deshler Group

Robert Gruschow is president of Deshler Group.  He also serves as president of Feblo International, LLC, which creates cost-effective, highly successful custom packaging, warehousing, and distribution solutions.  He is a managing member of Global Transportation Management (GTM), a global transportation and logistics firm, and co-founded GS3, a supply chain management company.

Throughout his career, Mr. Gruschow has formed successful partnerships and developed innovative solutions for customers, including automakers, suppliers, and other companies. As a Deshler board member since 2004, Mr. Gruschow has spearheaded its acquisition of additional capabilities to provide comprehensive, multi-faceted services, including manufacturing, assembly, transportation, packaging, and information technology.

Mr. Gruschow holds a bachelor’s degree from Albion College and a master’s degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz.  He also studied architecture at the Rhode Island School of Design and semiconductor manufacturing at Central New Mexico Community College. He lives in Michigan.


Troy Clay
President & CEO

Troy serves as president and chief executive officer for Mno-Bmadsen. In this capacity, he carries out the path approved by the Board of Directors, leads the overall long-term investment strategy, and oversees the executive team that manages all of the businesses that comprise Mno-Bmadsen’s Family of Companies.

Before leading Mno-Bmadsen, Troy served as the elected tribal treasurer chairing the tribe’s Finance Board. In that role he was the acting treasurer of the Pokagon Gaming Authority which oversaw Four Winds Casino Resort. He has also served numerous appointed tribal positions throughout his career.



Kimberly Rodriguez
Senior Consultant

Kimberly Rodriguez is a Senior Consultant at Huron.  Kimberly is a global finance, restructuring and supply chain executive working with industrial corporate entities and their stakeholders to improve performance, enhance customer strategies and maximize transaction results.

Prior to joining Huron, Kimberly founded and managed a middle market restructuring firm which grew to service Fortune 50 manufacturing clients and family and corporate equity funds; eventually moving the firm into and becoming a Partner at Grant Thornton and KPMG LLP.

Kimberly holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Michigan State University and a Masters degree in finance from Walsh College.  She is involved in professional associations such as the Private Directors Association and Inforum. She is also on the Board of Directors for The Children’s Center of Detroit.  She was awarded the 2019 Top Directors to Watch and the 2014 DBusiness Powered by Women Honoree.
