She has extensive experience working with sibling teams and developing training programs to educate next generation family members.

A recognized expert on the topic of succession, Stephanie frequently collaborates with clients on key aspects of this process, such as developing governance structures, establishing succession plans and building a framework for next-generation collaborations. Her work is driven by knowledge and experience from the fields of management, entrepreneurship and psychology.

Stephanie co-authored the seminal book, Building a Successful Family Business Board. She serves on the Board of The Family Business Consulting Group where she Chairs the Intellectual Property Committee.


Mike Fassler

Mike is a Principal Consultant and Shareholder with the Family Business Consulting Group. He’s dedicated his career to serving family businesses and spends most of his time with sibling and cousin groups helping them navigate the complex challenges associated with building relationships, talent and capital within their families and enterprises. In this work Mike focuses in the areas of succession planning, governance and strategy.

Mike serves as an independent director on the board of Mno-Bmadsen, the non-gaming investment holding company of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians and is Chair of the Dividend Policy Committee and serves on the Audit Committee. Additionally, Mike serves on the Advisory Board of Flosonix and Board of The Family Business Consulting Group where he is Chair of the Finance & Compensation Committee and served as the Vice-Chair of the Leadership Continuity Committee.

Lisa Morel
Exaudi Family Business Advising

Based in Miami, Lisa is a specialist in corporate governance for family businesses. She’s a Partner for the Dominican Republic in the Exaudi Family Business Consulting firm and an affiliate of the Family Business Consulting Group. As an advisor, she helps guide families in businesses in designing and implementing a governance model that allows for effective decision making processes and strategic planning of generational transitions.

Lisa is a second generation member of a family business and has helped lead the process of board building for her family business, where she has remained as Vice President of its foundation. She currently acts as advisor to two family business boards and recently joined the Board of Directors of the Family Firm Institute, a leading global organization in the family enterprise field.



Rob Sligh

Rob spent 33 years in multi-generational family business leadership. Initially in brand management at SC Johnson Wax for several years, he went on to become Chairman & CEO and of Sligh Furniture and Clocks, a 4th generation manufacturing and marketing company with a majority-outside board of directors.

He has served on twenty family business fiduciary or advisory boards and non-profit boards. On many of those, he served as Chairman of the Board and / or Chairman of the Compensation, Finance or Nominating Committee.

Rob is Chairman of the Compensation Committee and a director on the fiduciary board of Utility Supply and Construction Company and serves on the Advisory Boards of Erhardt Construction and Spectrum Industries and he is affiliated with the Family Business Consulting Group.
