Vic Gatto CEO Jumpstart Health Investors
|
Vic has been an investor in healthcare and technology since 2001. He has made over 200 investments in early-stage innovation companies in the areas of healthcare services, medical devices, diagnostic tools, technology, and data analytics. Vic co-founded Jumpstart Health Investors in 2014. Designed to be a new type of healthcare investment platform, the firm leverages four complimentary business units to covey and unfair advantage to investors, innovators and industry. Before Jumpstart, Vic served as a Partner at two different venture capital firms, focusing his investment activity primarily in healthcare services and technology. In the 1990s, before switching to the investor side of the table, Vic co-founded and subsequently sold a software company. Vic was the seed investor in Change Healthcare. He helped grow the company from a concept to the multi-billion enterprise it is today. Vic served on the Board of Directors for seven years. He also joined Change in a fulltime capacity as President during a critical transition period. As President, Vic helped the original Founders define the skills needed to lead the company forward. He then recruited a two-person team of Chairman and CEO to leave a large publicly traded healthcare company to lead the growth of Change Healthcare. The company is now publicly traded on Nasdaq and valued in excess of $1.5B. As the healthcare industry has begun to change, Vic has worked to educate investors about the opportunity in private health innovation. He has created over 50 written posts and video interviews online to discuss the topics of healthcare change, innovation and investment under the flagship brand: The Health Storm. Vic lives in Nashville with his wife and two sons. He has a MBA from Vanderbilt University and a BA from Amherst College.

Ralph is the Executive Chairman of the Jones Family of Companies, a multi-generational family business in the textile manufacturing industry. Founded in 1936, the firm operates in 6 states with 4 manufacturing locations. Ralph operates from the perspective that vulnerability-based leadership combined with knowledge-based resources creates trust and influences others in the direction that is best aligned with an organization’s vision, mission and goals. He joined his family’s values-centric 85-year-old business following college and began the process of working throughout the entire organization from the ground floor. As he rose through the company, his greatest strength emerged as a leader who saw through a problem to its root cause and developed sustainable solutions. Strategic moves have become the hallmark of the company’s resilience in a difficult industry. As he moved into senior executive leadership roles, he established succession planning initiatives and persuaded the family to bring in non-family senior leadership executives and a majority non-family board to position the company for long-term growth and continued success. As a servant leader, long term success for the Jones Family of Companies has been built on passion, transparency, and trust among all stakeholders.
