Overview

Many economists are worried about a recession. Whether the economy goes up or down, economic uncertainty is ahead. The International Monetary Fund expects global GDP growth to drop in half. It is the first time the US has seen inflation over 4% and unemployment below 4%. In other words, the labor market is under stress as it remains hard to hire while wages keep going up.

It is hard to see where this is all going but one thing is for certain, becoming People-First is the single best way to win in the marketplace. Being intentional about a Board/CEO led business strategy to put people in the center of critical decision making, have people first leaders and coordinated people programs including a differentiated employer brand and corporate “why”, high velocity recruiting, meaningful develop and career paths, always-on feedback employee feedback loops, and thoughtful reward and recognition strategies. Boards can encourage and monitor people strategies that drive positive company results.

The recorded event will be available on the YouTube FEI Channel .
