Overview

Join with other Charlotte Chapter members to celebrate the microbreweries of our city and get to know our members. BYOMB:  Bring your own micro brew (or beer alternative) to this Zoom session where we will break into small groups to get to know each other as people and professionals.  We'll sprinkle in some education about the fascinating business model of microbreweries -- mostly privately-held companies.

Exciting Event Update: We will be joined by Josh Patton, CEO and Co-Founder of Wooden Robot Brewery. With taprooms in both Southend and NODA, Wooden Robot is a 15-barrel urban farmhouse brewery that draws inspiration from traditional Belgian farmhouse breweries and the innovation of American craft brewing. Their use of local farm, foraged and specialty ingredients supports the growth of our economy and community. Wooden Robot Brewery is a private, Charlotte-based company founded by Josh and Dan Wade, who were best friends in middle school. Josh will answer our questions about this intriguing business that has faced significant challenges during the pandemic.

Before the event, you can purchase a growler at either Wooden Robot taproom (1440 S Tryon St. and 416 E 36th St) or find limited-run cans at specialty beer retailers in the Charlotte area. Or bring your favorite beer or beer alternative from another area microbrewery.

Thank you to our microbrewery guest!
