A Note from the Venue

We are following strict COVID-19 guidelines as given to us by the CDC to ensure the safety or our guests and employees. Masks must be worn in all common areas. The Hexa Center’s interior environment is cleaned and disinfected daily with an all-natural, non-toxic, safe, eco-friendly method of disinfecting and sanitizing, and tables are spaced 6 ft. apart to insure social distancing. We provide gloved waitstaff to serve all food and drinks during event to minimize contact with food.

Dawn Ragan

Dawn Ragan has over 25 years of experience in financial advisory, turnaround management, and corporate finance. She is skilled in quickly assessing complex situations, developing effective operational and financial restructuring solutions, and managing multiple adverse constituencies. Dawn’s engagements have included assets and operations in China, Japan, Europe, Australia, Argentina, Mexico, Canada, and the United States. She has served clients in a variety of leadership roles including Chief Restructuring Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Plan Agent, Trustee, and Financial Advisor and has provided expert witness testimony and litigation support.

Prior to her consulting career, Dawn spent nine years in investment banking and was a real estate portfolio asset manager. She received her undergraduate degree from Regis University and her Executive MBA from Southern Methodist University. She is a certified turnaround professional and has served as a speaker on a number of national panels. She is an active member of the restructuring community holding memberships with ABI, TMA, AIRA, and IWIRC.

Kirk currently is CEO of the Dallas / Ft. Worth Region for Amegy Bank, managing all strategic aspects of Commercial, Corporate, Private, Business, and Retail Banking, including Specialty Lending, (Energy and Commercial Real Estate Banking).  In addition, he provides oversight for other Lines of Business such as Treasury Management, Wealth Management, Mortgage, and other Capital Market operations. 

In addition to his current CEO position at Amegy Bank, he is involved in many executive board positions with civic organizations, including Methodist Hospital, Goodwill Industries, Dallas Regional Chamber, Dallas Arboretum, and formerly was a Board Member for The Dallas Citizens Council and SMU Cox School of Business.

Kirk is a proven leader, manager, and colleague possessing business development, brand building, and strategic organizational skills in the commercial banking industry for more than 35 years.  He is considered highly effective at identifying top talent and integrating them into an existing culture that will diversify and expand important growth markets. He has built three Advisory Bank Boards and managed two others spanning his 35-year career that contributed documented success toward the desired organizational goals.   

Kirk has been integral to the success of his clients, working with hundreds of privately owned family businesses and entrepreneurs representing diverse industries, while being instrumental in helping develop their strategies positioning them for success in markets they serve.  He also assists them with planning short-term and long-term loan/equity programs, treasury management functions to ensure cash flow velocity/account security and building business connectivity to help develop key partnerships with outside resources, including developing Boards or Advisory Boards.

Kirk is a graduate of University of Texas at Austin.

   

Cassandra Sepanik Shoemaker

Cassandra Sepanik Shoemaker is Counsel at Thompson & Knight. She represents creditors, debtors, and equity holders in complex corporate reorganizations and bankruptcy litigation in the United States and abroad. Cassandra has represented creditors in objecting to the adequacy of disclosure statements and confirmation of Chapter 11 plans of reorganization and parties involved in preference and fraudulent transfer avoidance actions. In addition, Cassandra has experience advising on a range of bankruptcy and other insolvency-related issues, including lender liability litigation and the implications of seeking bankruptcy relief. Her engagements have ranged across a wide array of industries, including energy, real estate, telecommunications, and healthcare.

Cassandra is a graduate of Texas A&M University and received her JD from South Texas College of law.

Mike Juniper has 15 years of experience in financial and operational analysis and improvement, turnaround and restructuring consulting, and interim management. He has served as an advisor to numerous companies through Chapter 11 proceedings.

Prior to joining CR3, Mike served in finance functions for private manufacturing and distribution companies. He has extensive experience in the food processing, manufacturing, and consumer products industries. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and his MBA from Washington University in St. Louis. He is a certified turnaround professional who is active in the restructuring community, serving previously as Dallas/Ft. Worth TMA president and currently on the board of the Dallas/Ft. Worth TMA.
