Valerie Darling is a bilingual (Spani sh) senior healthcare executive and is currently CEO and Chief Business Off icer of Life Sciences Management Consultants. She has held roles as a globa l SVP of Commercial Operations and VP of Sales and Business Development in major medical, healthcare, and life science companies. Valerie has built a nd led commercial organizations and divisions from the ground floor up for Fortune 30 healthcare companies, turnarounds, and several startup companies that matured and grew into leading medical and hospital companies. As a st artup entrepreneur, Valerie was one of the original four leaders who built notable companies Genzyme, ZymoGenetics, and OpGen, a hospital division for Johnson and Johnson, and Cardinal Health's oncology, immunology and specia lty solutions division. Her experience spans oncology, hospitals/health sys tems (payers and providers), AI MedTech, medical devices, genomic molecular diagnostics with bioanalytics (IT/platforms), digital health, surgery/OR, rare diseases, specialty biotech (cardiology, oncology/immunology, infectio us disease, neurology, rheumatology/pain, renal/hepatic/metabolic/diabetes, pulmonology), Covid-19 diagnostics, and pharmaceuticals.
Valerie is an angel investor, involved in several venture organizations involving entr epreneurs, venture capital groups, private equity, angels, and the Atlanta CEO Council. She is active in many professional, medical, and volunteer org anizations. Her Board organizations include: Private Director's Association , OnBoard, Women on Biopharma Boards, and 2020 Women on Boards.

Al an was named to his current position with the Private Directors Association in January of 2021. Previously he was the founder and President of the Hou ston Chapter of the organization.
Alan served as the CEO of ProQuest Company, a publicly traded technology company, and as CFO for Tribune Publi shing Company. He founded the Education and New Media division of Tribune Company and led it until its sale to McGraw Hill.
He has served on ov er a dozen boards including public companies, private companies, venture ba cked early-stage companies and not-for- profit organizations.
Alan re ceived an undergraduate degree in commerce and accounting from DePaul Unive rsity and a master’s degree in management from Northwestern University Kell ogg Graduate School of Management.
