The close to 3,000 members of PDA support our mission of advocating for and teaching board formation and governance, enhancing private company value through high-performing boards, supporting the value of diverse and inclusive boards, and creating a national alliance of directors, executives, and private company owners interested in board service to learn, network, and identify and attract exceptional board members.

The accomplishment of this mission begins with the membership benefits offered with our Individual and Corporate Memberships:

New this year PDA is offering the Corporate Membership. Benefits include:


  • Complimentary access to the ESOP Governance Essentials course. This rigorous course is designed to present a realistic look at the responsibilities of serving on an ESOP board.
  • Complimentary director or advisor search with an enhanced posting approach, supporting a faster process with highly qualified candidates. (One per year per corporate member, a $10,000 value).
  • An invitation for all of those who will be listed on your membership roster to complete their Private Company Governance Certificate at no additional charge.
  • Complimentary in-boardroom Ransomware Preparedness and Response session (a $10,000 value) to PDA Corporate qualified members. The program, hosted by Apollo Information Systems Corp., includes three key elements including expert consultation, access to state-of-the-art technology, and essential security awareness education.
  • An alternative 90-minute Cyber review program is also available for boards with an existing ransomware program in place.
  • Access to additional board opportunities to match board-ready PDA members with additional board roles via PDA’s partnership with Bolster and Strides.
  • Dedicated “CISO on Call”
  • A national network of peers engaged in events focused entirely on private company issues, both locally through our 22-chapter system, as well as virtually via webinars and online resources. 
  • Complimentary subscriptions to Directors & Boards and Private Company Director magazines.

Corporate Membership Investment: 
$3,150 for up to a ten-member roster. 
Additional roster members are $300 per person.

  • Through PDA's partnership with Bolster, our members have access to additional board opportunities. Bolster matches board-ready PDA members with start-up and scale-up companies for fiduciary and advisory board roles.  
  • Your member profile will be listed in the PDA Member Directory housed on our website.  
  • Members have admittance to PDA's proprietary body of knowledge and archived webinars. Also available is interactive, digital access to nearly 7,000 global newspapers and magazines from an online library. 
  • Board director opportunities for members are posted on the PDA website.
  • A complimentary copy of PDA's monthly e-newsletter.
  • Each member receives an annual subscription to Directors & Boards and Private Company Director magazines.
