Privately held companies may not have the same exposure as public companies, but they must follow current executive compensation trends, legislation, and best practices. While the challenges and opportunities differ for each private company, executives and the board of directors must be apprised of the latest executive compensation developments, given the need to attract, motivate, and retain talent.
