Overview

PDA Chicago’s panel comprised of a Cyber-CPA, a Cyber-lawyer, a Cybersecurity Data Privacy Risk Advisor, and an IT Professional will provide a board level overview of cyber risks in the manufacturing industry and supply chain.  Our speakers will address how cyber risks contribute to specific loss events in the manufacturing and supply chain industries.  They will discuss types of vendors in manufacturing that can trigger cyber-related risks of disruption to operations, compromised safety, disclosure of proprietary info, alteration of records, or financial risks or fraud.  Speakers will cover vendor risk management, and will note a few specific vendors types that pose cyber risks, such as component suppliers or BPO (Business Process Outsourcing).  The Panel will guide directors with information, rather than fear, toward an appreciation for the sensitive data shared with vendors and partners (i.e., technology infrastructure, buying patterns, transaction details, designs, customer information), and will help board members learn which questions to ask of those high-risk vendors.

Thank you to our National and Gold Chapter Sponsors!
