Overview

This will be Minnesota PDA's inaugural in-person event held at the Metropolitan in Golden Valley, MN. There will be networking opportunities before and after a panel discussion on Board Bio's and Resumes. Jim Zuehlke will moderate the panel discussion consisting of Kathleen Crandall and David Lyman.

Kathleen Crandall is a nationally-known expert and thought leader in personal branding and personal impact, as well as a keynote speaker, workshop facilitator, and coach to executives and leaders. The founder of Know My Impact, she created the IMPACT Personal Branding Experience™, a powerful process and coaching curriculum that has helped thousands achieve personal and professional success through the power of their personal impact and brand.

Kathleen spent more than 20 years as an executive in public relations, advertising, and corporate brand development. She is a facilitator with The Wharton School Executive Education and Women on Boards programs, and an adjunct facilitator with Twin Cities-based non-profits HIRED and Goodwill Easter Seals. David Lyman

David Lyman has 27 years of experience in executive search for international firms and boutique firms. David specializes in senior executive and board director searches for mid-size, privately-held companies. He co-owned LymanDoran for almost ten years after working for two large search firms (Russell Reynolds Associates and Korn/Ferry International) and after co-owning Schall Lyman, a regional firm for eleven years. David has an MBA from New York University and a bachelor’s degree from Bowdoin College. He is a past President of the Minneapolis City of Lakes Rotary Club and former board member of the Alzheimer’s Association of Minnesota-North Dakota. David actively serves on the Board of Trustees for Dunwoody College of Technology and is a member of the Private Directors Association. He and his wife, Beth, have four children and live in Excelsior, MN.

Having worked with both established and fast growing companies Jim has seen firsthand the value people bring to leveraging key business functions leading to business success and stronger companies. Jim has worked in the executive search market for over 30 years, founding his own firm Cardinal Mark in 1995.

With the success of Cardinal Mark, Jim founded Cardinal Board Services with a mission to help companies build better boards. The passion to work closely with corporate boards of directors has led Cardinal Board Services to be a leading board services company. Having experienced first hand the need for board diversity Cardinal Board Services created New Quorum, a platform for helping women obtain their first corporate Board of Directors role.

Jim is a graduate of Winona State University with degrees in Marketing and Computer Science. He has served on multiple corporate boards and currently serves on one corporate and two university boards. Jim is married with four adult children and resides in Wayzata, MN.
