Peter Wright

Mr. Wright has been an owner / operator, entrepreneur and officer of Lionbridge Technologies, a public company which he was a founding member of the management team. A former client of Anderson LeNeave & Co., he joined the firm in 2008. Prior to joining Anderson LeNeave he was the founder of Trinity Security, a company which he sold to Diebold (DBD) New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in 2006.

Pete advises client on merger and acquisition transactions as well as acquisition financing, recapitalization and growth strategy. His operational, sales and marketing experience allow him to provide a unique perspective to his clients not commonly found among investment bankers.

  • Founder and CEO of Trinity Security – founded in 2001 as a regional security systems and fire alarm integrator.

Tara Butler
Senior Vice President and Wealth Strategies Advisor

Tara L. Butler is a Senior Vice President and Wealth Strategies Advisor at Bank of America Private Bank in Charlotte, North Carolina. She designs and delivers innovative strategies to help clients pursue a wide range of wealth management goals that may include cashflow, lifestyle and estate planning, as well as risk management and philanthropy. Tara works with a diverse group of wealthy families and individuals,
including business owners and executives. She has specific experience with strategies for executive compensation, retirement planning and business succession.

Tara takes a team approach, coordinating with each client’s other professionals as needed to help implement strategies and review progress toward goals. She updates her knowledge and analyzes new ideas and legislation that can help clients address challenges in an ever-changing financial environment. Tara began her career at the Private Bank (formerly U.S. Trust) in 1999. Following positions of increasing responsibility in the trust, investment and planning groups, she became a Wealth Strategies Advisor. She draws on the sophisticated resources available through the Private Bank to help clients address virtually every aspect of their financial needs.

While working fulltime, Tara earned her B.S. degree in finance from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) professional and an active member of the Financial Planning Association of Charlotte.


           

David Sanders Dooley
Founder, Grateful Doo Investments
Chief Strategy Officer-CBI, Workplace Solutions

David is a Charlotte native having attended Charlotte Country Day School and graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill BA 1986. David has a been a lifelong learner and entrepreneur focused on building high performance teams and businesses.

Mr. Dooley started his career working for the legendary investor and a construction executive Edward Robert Street at McDevitt & Street where he worked summer internships in Human Resources, Marketing, Business Strategy. 

David joined his family business RT Dooley, a Charlotte based General Contractor founded by his father Robert Thomas Dooley in 1977. The company had 15 employees and $20 million in revenue. Along with his brother Bob Dooley, they grew the business to one of the largest specialty contractors on the East Coast focusing on Corporate HQ and Missions Critical Sectors serving the private markets. Over a 20-year period, the company grew to $325 million in revenue with 150 associates.  As the firm’s data center sector expanded to a national practice the family began to look for a strategic buyer who had a global presence. In 2009 the firm sold to London based Balfour Beatty. He worked for five years as EVP East Region of Balfour Beatty helping scale the Mission Critical practice to the second largest builder in the United States ranked by ENR Magazine in 2012. Balfour Beatty continues to be one of the largest North Carolina and United States Builders annually. 

Mr. Dooley left Balfour Beatty in 2014 to start a Family Office for the Dooley Family Holdings which include extensive real estate, private equity and closely held businesses. In addition, he started Grateful Doo Investments named for his love and admiration of Jerry Garcia, a fellow dyslexic brother in life. His private investment firm has allowed him to invest in family companies operating inside his supply chain expertise to work shoulder to shoulder with Founders to help re-engineer their business to achieve scale, growth, drive full potential value while mentoring and teaching next generation leaders the art of business. 

Currently, Mr. Dooley is Chief Strategy Officer at CBI Workplace Solutions, the Southeast Regional MillerKnoll Dealer founded by David Longo based in Charlotte.  Since 2014 together they have assembled a talented high performance team that has quickly led to a growth strategy doubling in size and has become Knoll’s third largest US dealer while serving clients from ten locations in the southeast.  In 2022, Herman Miller acquired Knoll and CBI is now a Certified MillerKnoll dealer representing the largest innovative manufacturer in the industry.

Timothy Herbst
Managing Director and Wealth Strategies Executive

Timothy Herbst is a Managing Director and Wealth Strategies Executive at Bank of America Private Bank in Charlotte, North Carolina. He heads a team of wealth strategists in the South Atlantic and Southeast divisions of the Private Bank. Tim works with a select clientele that includes business owners, family businesses and executives of publicly held companies, as well as individuals and families with inherited wealth. He brings more than 30 years of financial, tax and estate planning experience to this role.

Together with the team, Tim designs and implements strategies to help clients address a range of wealth management concerns, from charitable giving and philanthropy to asset allocation and preservation, business succession, and concentrated stock management. He also coordinates with clients’ outside professional advisors, including attorneys, CPAs and family offices.

Prior to joining the Private Bank (formerly U.S. Trust) in 2000, Tim was an attorney with law firms in New York State and North Carolina. His law practice focused on tax and estate, charitable giving and wealth transfer planning for owners of public and closely held businesses. Tim earned his B.A. degree in economics from Bucknell University and his M.B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Richmond. He is a member of the North Carolina and New York state bar associations. As a frequent speaker and author, Tim shares his knowledge of tax and estate planning topics. He has presented to many professional organizations, including the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, the annual meeting of the Estate Planning and Fiduciary Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association, and the Duke University Estate Planning Conference.
