Panelists

Mike Luna is the co-founder, President and CEO of Artemis Production Solutions, Inc., where he also serves on its board of directors. With a proven track record, Mike brings extensive knowledge and expertise to his leadership role.

Throughout his career, Mike has held leadership positions at renowned companies, including Schlumberger and Exterran, consistently driving profitable business growth and expansion while successfully navigating through unique industry challenges. At CSI Compressco, he served as a corporate officer and vice president of International Operations and Engineered Products, overseeing the company’s business operations and leading global sales for its Engineered Products division.

As Vice President of Business Development for Tecna, Isolux’s Oil & Gas Division, Mike’s strategic efforts played a pivotal role in securing the company’s first multi-million-dollar contract in Brazil’s offshore market and facilitating expansion into high-growth Latin American emerging markets.

At Exterran, Mike spearheaded business development initiatives and led new ventures, including serving as a Senior Project Director for a major capital infrastructure project in Bolivia. At Schlumberger, he held positions of increasing responsibility across engineering, sales, marketing, and operations, contributing to the company’s success in North and South America.

Mike earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Gas Engineering from Texas A&M – Kingsville. He has served as an advisor to notably oil & gas service and manufacturing companies such as Jaragua Intl and Spark Energy. Mike actively contributes as a member of the Superintendent’s Leadership Committee in his local public school district and volunteers with his family at local charitable events.

Grant graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Forestry in 2003. He gained experience working with The United States Forest Service in Montana and served a mission with NET Ministries in Australia. Returning stateside, Grant entered the green industry and quickly became a Certified Arborist. For 18 years he has worked in the green industry. Sales, promotion and entrepreneurship are his areas of focus.

Grant founded The Urban Foresters in 2010 seeking more freedom and room to put his ideas to work. Fueled by his faith and the love of his new young family, Grant grew the company from zero to around 30 employees in 3 years. Today The Urban Foresters employs about 50 men and women in Houston, DFW, Austin and San Antonio. Grant’s second company, TUF Industrial is in start-up phase. Grant is married to Caitlin Crowell. They have 5 children ranging in age from 11yrs down to 6 months. 

Imran Khan is a true entrepreneur having a visionary mindset with a focus on people, energy, and food.

Imran began his career with Albemarle Specialty Chemicals in 2000 as an engineer, later finding roles at GE and BP. He has a strong passion for the energy industry and spent the next 10+ years driving capital projects at Shell where Imran continues to work. Imran has worked through all energy segments Upstream, Midstream, and Downstream, and later founded UMD Energy Solutions in 2013.

UMD started in the talent acquisition space, recruiting IT & Engineering candidates, and has since expanded into offshore platform inspections and onshore field services. During the pandemic, as oil hit negative numbers, Imran saw the opportunity to further integrate into the energy onshore business. He purchased several oil and gas assets including Briar Energy, a Texas oil and gas operator established in 1984 with wells in the Fort Worth Barnett Shale area. Looking towards the energy transition, Imran partnered with SunBridge Energy in 2022 and is focusing on alternative energy transport of both CNG now and green hydrogen in the future in the Permian.

With a strong desire to work with his family and friends, Imran opened a modern family restaurant called Cowboys and Indians in 2016. In 2021, Imran acquired the real estate and relocated Cowboys and Indians to the Greater Heights area of Houston.

Imran holds a Chemical Engineering and Business degree from The Ohio State University and currently resides in the great state of Texas.

In addition to his entrepreneurial endeavors, Imran has been an Adjunct Professor at Houston Community College for 4 years. He is passionate about giving to his community and believes in building a solid foundation for future generations. Imran accomplishes this by hiring and mentoring people from the local Houston community.

Moderator

Cary specializes in all controllership functions including transactional accounting, month-end close, and reporting and analysis. She has extensive experience in process design and improvements, system automation, implementation, and management of financial controls. During her career, she has worked directly with companies at various stages, including startups, family-owned companies, and large, publicly traded companies. She uses this experience when working with growing companies to build scalable processes and derive value from the accounting and reporting function.
