Tommy Mixon III
Executive Risk Consultant
USI Insurance Services



Tommy Mixon is an Executive Risk Consultant with expertise in financial institutions and private equity. His role is to create insurance programs that lead to better financial outcomes for USI clients. Tommy has been with USI since Spring 2021. Prior to USI, he was a Senior Underwriter in New York City with a focus on private equity funds and portfolio platforms.

While in New York, Tommy was the lead underwriter for some of the largest private equity firms in the world. He also has experience underwriting IPO’s, take privates, and SPACs. Lines of coverage included D&O, EPLI, Crime, Fiduciary, and Kidnap and Ransom insurance.

He lives in Dallas, Texas with his wife and daughter and is a proud alumnus of the University of Georgia.

Joseph B. Armes

Mr. Armes has served as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of CSW Industrials, Inc. since its spin-off in 2015 from Capital Southwest
Corporation. Mr. Armes has served as a director of several public companies and, since 2018, as an independent trustee of the American Beacon family of mutual funds, where he currently serves as chairman of the nominating and governance committee.

From 2001 through 2010, Mr. Armes was a member of the Board of Regents of Baylor University where he served as chairman of the finance, audit, compensation, and presidential search committees. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the University of Dallas where he chairs the
endowment committee. During the 2011-12 academic year he served as Visiting Assistant Professor at Texas Tech University School of Law where he taught classes in mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance. Mr. Armes began his career as an attorney with the law firm of Weil, Gotshal
and Manges, LLP, where he specialized in mergers and acquisitions. He earned both a BBA (Finance) and MBA from Baylor University, and a JD from Southern Methodist University’s School of Law, where he was Notes and Comments editor of the Southern Law Journal.

He is married with two adult children.

Stephen Konstans

Stephen has more than 20 years helping companies secure candidates for critical executive roles. He has special expertise in filling high-level finance and accounting positions such as chief financial officer or controller. Relying on the expert judgment that comes with experience, he brings to each engagement a deep knowledge of accounting, finance and general business, along with a powerful network of contacts, a strong work ethic and the intuitive people skills to effectively evaluate candidates and serve clients.

Prior to joining Pearson Partners in 2005, Stephen spent over three years running his own executive search and consulting practice. Building on an early career in auditing with both Arthur Andersen and KPMG, he entered the recruitment field in 1990 by joining Robert Half International, where he twice was ranked among the top 15 recruiters worldwide for accounting and financial professionals—including being ranked No. 1 in the world for one quarter. He later worked his way up at D. E. Foster Partners, Inc., the successor firm to KPMG’s executive search practice, where he began as a senior consultant and was ultimately promoted to the director level.

Stephen served as a moderator and panelist on numerous panels for the Dallas chapters of Financial Executives International and Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has also served as a moderator for several Pearson Partners International Spotlight SeriesSM breakfast events.
Stephen serves on the advisory board for the Institute for Excellence in Corporate Governance and is president-elect of the Trinity Christian Academy Alumni Association Board. He previously served on the boards of Executives In Action and the SMU Business Associate Program, where he was named Mentor of the Year.

Stephen is a former Certified Public Accountant. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting from Southern Methodist University and has continued graduate studies at The University of Texas at Dallas.
