Victor Aspengren is a consultant and board of director’s member to the ESOP community.
Specifically, he is a Board of Director’s member for the following 100% ESOPs - Taylor & Martin in Freemont, NE, Rayser Holdings in Cedar Rapids, IA, Oxygen Services in St. Paul, MN, Hyde Engineering in Boulder, CO and Ciranda in Hudson, WI.
Victor earned a Bachelor‘s degree in Sociology from Iowa State University, a Masters of Public Administration degree from Drake University, and multiple Management Certificates from the University of Nebraska’s Graduate School. Victor is a former Dale Carnegie instructor, YMCA Senior Director, Creativity Central trainer and coach for The Great Game of Business. He lived the ESOP experience as an employee owner, HR Manger and CEO in different ESOP companies involved with manufacturing, construction, health care and financial services. Victor has been heavily involved in the employee ownership world for over 20 years.

Neil Brozen ESOP Trustee Ventura

Neil co-founded Ventura ESOP Fiduciary Services with Mary Wertz in July of 2016 after providing ESOP trustee services for two institutional trustees from 2005 through April of 2016. He has 28 years of experience in banking, public accounting, management consulting and the IRS.
Neil is an active member of the ESOP Association having served on its Board of Governors, Finance Ownership Culture and Valuation Committees, the National Center for Employee Ownership including being a Board member as well as the Minnesota/Dakota and California Western States ESOP Association chapters. He is a recognized national speaker and writer on various ESOP issues.

Matt leads Chartwell’s valuation practice. He has provided financial advisory services to privately-held companies for over 20 years and is an expert on valuation issues related to Employee Stock Ownership Plans and ESOP sustainability. He advises clients on a wide variety of corporate finance, valuation, tax, and fairness issues for ESOPs, mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, and general corporate related purposes. His valuation opinions have withstood scrutiny by the Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Labor. Matt is an active member of The ESOP Association, where he currently serves on the Valuation Advisory Committee. He is also a member of the National Center for Employee Ownership and the American Society of Appraisers.

Gretchen Koehn President and Member EXECTEAM, LLC

Gretchen is President and Member of EXECTEAM, LLC, Minneapolis, MN, an executive consulting firm providing strategic planning and change management through consulting and interim executive roles. She also coaches executives on leadership and development. Her focus is small to mid-size firms up to $500M.
Prior to Execteam LLC, Gretchen was CIO, CFO, CAO, and Director of Information Technology at Delta Environmental Consultants, Inc., (currently Antea Group) Minneapolis, MN, an international environmental consulting firm for the oil and gas industry. She participated in strategic plan development and growing revenue from $25M - $250M in eight years. She also developed infrastructure to open US locations (3 – 40) and designed the strategic 5-year plan for technology.
Gretchen holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of Minnesota and has been a Certified Public Accountant

Dan Markowitz Partner Boulay

Dan is the leader of Boulay Group’s ESOP practice. He specializes in audit and other financial reporting engagements for public, private and ESOP-owned clients in a variety of industries including retail, engineering, professional services, real estate, and manufacturing and distribution. Dan analyzes business operations to provide recommendations for enhancing overall business performance, and he provides financial and consulting services to ESOP companies, including ESOP feasibility studies, ESOP sustainability projects, repurchase obligation studies, and managing annual ESOP administration. Dan also leads the due diligence team in evaluating the financial and operational reporting system of acquisition target companies, and he assists clients with merger and acquisition activities, including deal structuring, tax impact of transaction, and quality of earnings reports.
