      John Ryan
Vice President, Investment Solutions Group

John is a Vice President based in Boston and has been with the firm since 2011. As a Capital Markets Specialist, John is responsible for partnering with financial advisors to deliver innovative solutions across all capital market platforms, with a focus on the needs of Ultra High Net Worth clients through market-linked Investments and concentrated stock strategies. Within the Northeast division, John covers the greater Boston and New England area, in addition to Upstate New York and Michigan.

Prior to his current role in the Capital Markets Group, John worked as an Investment Advisory Platform Specialist, where he partnered with his advisors to help create individually tailored solutions for high-net worth clients. Prior to re-joining ISG, John was a Merrill advisor in Great Neck, NY.

John attended the University of Rhode Island where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2011 while studying Business Finance.

As the Managing Partner at V&R Advisory & Capital, Mike Roth specializes in advising and investing in family businesses within the healthcare, technology, and precision manufacturing sectors. With over 25 years of experience in corporate development and growth strategy, he empowers founders and families to achieve their goals and optimize their value. Today, Mike and his partners own some or all of 7 parent companies, all of which started as family businesses and were acquired or scaled by him and his partners, and all of which have a dedicated equity operating partner-leader, leaving Mike to work directly with two to four clients per year on growing, sustaining and/or selling their businesses.

Mike holds a certification as an Independent Director from the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD.DC), trained as a Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor, and actively seeks fiduciary board opportunities to leverage his expertise and network. His background includes successful founder and successor leadership roles in multiple MSPs and HaaS companies, as well as managing IT projects for a major corporation (A-B). He possesses strong analytical, business development, and negotiation skills and has contributed to publications and presentations covering topics such as business management, technology infrastructure, aviation, and emergency response. Mike has earned multiple graduate degrees in business, infrastructure and technology from University of Michigan, Central Michigan University and Cleary University.

Outside work, Mike's passions are his family, community and aviation, where he is a certified airline pilot and flight instructor, an avid aviator and FAA safety volunteer.

      Kimberly Rodriguez
Executive and Entrepreneur


Kimberly is a renowned expert in transforming global organizations to maximize efficiencies in supply chain, manufacturing and operational performance. During her 30-year career, she has assisted automakers and suppliers in driving value creation by leveraging the interface between finance, operational (plant floor) efficiency, and the effective use of technology. Kimberly currently serves as a principal of her own firm SCRM, providing independent consulting services, largely to equity funds and multiple holding family funds relating to sales growth, efficiency and market strategy.

Most recently Kimberly was the Chief Executive Officer for Dura Automotive Systems. Prior to joining Dura, Kimberly was Chief Executive Officer of Rush Trucking, a $100 million long-haul trucking company. During the 2020 COVID Automotive shutdown, she helped to dramatically improve efficiency, reduce equipment cost in half and quadruple the customer base for Rush.

Kimberly sits on the Board of Directors for AMG Industries, LLC., and Romeo Rim, as well as on the Executive Committee and General Board for The Children’s Center, a Detroit-based non-profit. She is a founding member and the first female chair of the Private Director’s Association, which provides training and insight for existing and potential board members of privately held companies. In 2019 she was named “Director to Watch” by Directors & Boards Magazine.

Kimberly earned a Bachelor of Art in economics and accounting from Michigan State University and a Master’s in business administration from Walsh College.
