In her current role as a retained executive recruiter, Ms. Utter connects mid-sized businesses with their next generation of leaders. She spearheads C-level searches for top leadership (CEOs, GMs, President, VPs and board members) and supports new business development activities at Lyman Executive Search.

Her background includes more than 16 years’ executive search experience, including past president of The Wood Group, and a proven track record of success in organizational leadership, revenue generation and client satisfaction. In every engagement she brings astute business acumen, high energy, professionalism and caring to her work. Her experiences as a search professional, company president, non-profit executive and board member give Ms. Utter a unique perspective on role of leadership in an organization.

Outside of the office, Ms. Utter shares her talents as a community volunteer and committed board member, currently serving as President of the Private Directors Association (Minnesota Chapter). Ms. Utter’s past board service includes the board of directors for Theater Latte Da, board chair roles with the Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance, Minnesota Stroke Association and the Scleroderma Foundation (MN).

Ms. Utter holds a bachelor’s degree in English literature from the University of Michigan.

       

Jim Zuehkle

Having worked with both established and fast growing companies Jim has seen firsthand the value people bring to leveraging key business functions leading to business success and stronger companies. Jim has worked in the executive search market for over 30 years, founding his own firm Cardinal Mark in 1995. With the success of Cardinal Mark, Jim founded Cardinal Board Services with a mission to help companies build better boards. The passion to work closely with corporate boards of directors has led Cardinal Board Services to be a leading board services company. Having experienced first hand the need for board diversity Cardinal Board Services created New Quorum, a platform for helping women obtain their first corporate Board of Directors role.

Jim is a graduate of Winona State University with degrees in Marketing and Computer Science. He has served on multiple corporate boards and currently serves on one corporate and two university boards. Jim is married with four adult children and resides in Wayzata, MN.

       

Shay Wyley
Board Member

Shay Wyley is an experienced Board Director for several privately held companies and non-profits across a variety of sectors. In addition to chairing the board of Thermflo Inc. and its sister company Zonatherm Products Inc., a leading provider of mission critical thermal management and standby power solutions, Shay also serves on the boards of Kent Corporation, a large and diversified business with corn wet milling, animal feed and food subsidiaries and Park Industries, a leader in the stone working equipment industry. In his executive career, he has also engaged with joint venture boards in The Philippines and South Africa. Shay’s executive career included 27 years at General Mills Inc., from which he retired as Managing Director of the Haagen-Dazs International Restaurant business. For much of his career at General Mills, Shay was Managing Director of various international businesses and has completed expatriate assignments in Asia, Africa and Latin America
