Herman Williams is currently the President of HW Healthcare Solutions (HWHS), a Nashville based healthcare consulting firm specializing in key management solutions for Hospitals, Physician practices and other Healthcare entities. He was formally the Chief Physician Executive of The Hardenbergh Group, the leading provider of healthcare professional staffing, providing consulting services and assisting with External Peer Review.   He also served in the role of Managing Director for the Nashville Healthcare practice as well as Chief Physician Executive for all of BDO USA, the fifth largest professional services firm in the United States.

He brings more than 25 years of healthcare leadership and management experience in medical staff consulting, strategic planning, Executive Coaching and hospital operations as a senior physician executive. Dr. Williams’ operational roles include oversight of rural, urban, Community, Academic, For-profit and Non-profit Healthcare Organizations. He has overseen medical staff operations in over 43 facilities in 30 states throughout his career.

Dr. Williams has advised healthcare organizations and physicians nationwide on Compliance and Regulatory standards, Bylaws development, contemporary Peer Review policies and procedures, Credentialing matters, Clinical Documentation, Revenue and 340B Improvement strategies and physician-hospital partnerships, all resulting in substantial cost reductions/savings through effective Hospital – Physician collaboration.

Dr. Maria Flowers has worked in the healthcare industry for over twenty years in various roles across the care continuum. Maria uses her passion for promoting safe and equitable healthcare to speak, train, and write on social determinants of health and health disparities. Maria has an earned doctorate from the University of Southern California Rossier School of Education in Organizational Change and Leadership. Her area of expertise is creating frameworks to help guide healthcare organizations to improve processes that promote safe and equitable care.

Maria is the founding and Principal Consultant of Maria D. Flowers & Associates, a healthcare consulting firm. Maria is also the Executive Director of Safer Healthcare for All, a non-profit patient advocacy organization promoting safe and equitable care delivery for underserved patient populations.

She has presented to national and international audiences on the impact of racism on patient safety, social determinants of health, and disparate health outcomes. She is a co-contributor of the "Social Determinants of Health, Actionable Patient Safety Solution" published by the Patient Safety Movement Foundation. Her work on patient safety and health equity has been seen at the Institute of Healthcare Improvement Safety Congress, and New York Health and Hospitals, and University of South Florida – Qualitative Research Symposium to name a few.

She has served on several non-profit boards, including the Williamson County C.A.S.A., She currently serves as the former board vice president for Trel’s Home for Children, an organization that supports families and children navigating custodial matters in the Houston, TX, area.
