Ed Steinhoff
Managing Director, Consulting Team Leader
Pearl Meyer

Ed Steinhoff is a managing director and consulting team leader at Pearl Meyer. In his management role, he oversees a team of senior compensation consultants in the execution of the firm’s growth strategy and in the development of consultants at various stages in their careers. With more than 25 years’ experience in executive compensation, Ed works with the boards of directors and senior management teams of public and private companies, ranging from small and middle-market firms to multibillion-dollar corporations, to design pay programs that drive business performance and value creation, secure high-performing executive talent, and meet both regulatory standards and stakeholder expectations. Ed leads client engagements across many industries, with a focus on insurance, banking, manufacturing, and construction and engineering organizations. Prior to joining Pearl Meyer, Ed led the Michigan market compensation business at Mercer. He also has corporate compensation experience with Amoco Corporation in Chicago. Ed received a bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Georgetown University and a master of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. He speaks regularly on compensation issues and is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors and WorldatWork.

   

Venita Fields
Independent Director

Fields is an experienced independent corporate board director in both public and private companies and also has served on numerous company boards as an investor. With more than 25 years of financial and investment management background, many years of Audit Committee board experience, and her MBA from Northwestern University, she often serves as a Qualified Financial Expert. Ms. Fields was recognized by Board Prospects in 2023 as one of the Top 25 Black Board Members in the US. Ms. Fields was also named by the NACD to the 2021 NACD Directorship 100 in August 2021.

Currently, she serves as an Independent Director for the public company, Superior Group of Companies (NASDAQ:SGC). SGC was established in 1920, and has operations in the United States, Brazil, China, Costa Rica, Haiti, and India.

In addition, she serves as an Independent Director for these TWO private businesses:
1) Lifespace Communities, Inc., an owner and operator of seventeen (17) senior care living communities throughout the Midwest and Florida;
2) IMA Financial Group, the fifth largest independently owned broker in the United States. The Company provides insurance and wealth management solutions to individuals and privately-held businesses. IMA has primary operations in Colorado, Kansas, Michigan and Texas.

In her career, Ms. Fields is Partner for Pelham S2K Managers, LLC, providing junior capital and private equity investments for middle market companies. Formed in 2016, Pelham S2K is the Manager and General Partner of Pelham S2K SBIC, a $100 million Limited Partnership and Pelham S2K SBIC II a $140 million Limited Partnership.

Ms. Fields was honored as one of 35 dealmakers named in Mergers & Acquisitions’ 2021 Most Influential Women in Mid-Market M&A.

Monal Patel has over 10 years of compensation experience performing broad-based pay benchmarking analysis by adapting multiple market sources to clients’ human capital strategy. She has extensive experience designing global job architectures that have enabled clients to define career progression, offer targeted training and development, and are flexible enough to respond to changes in business conditions. Monal develops financial impact modeling attendant to new/revised salary administration programs. She also has created transition strategy alternatives for program implementation.

Monal holds a BS in economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from DePaul University.
